Great sushi
Jeff Boyardee · 4/5
I've been meaning to try Mikado Japanese Restaurant for a while now. Our typical New year's Eve tradition is to get sushi so figured this would be a good time as any. The restaurant itself is nice but I will say I was a little disappointed when they didn't yell "Irasshaimase!" at us when we walked in. It's always a good sign of a Japanese restaurant when they do. That said the service was very good and the sushi was all fresh and high quality. Our nigiri did take quite a while to come out, but they were pretty busy with takeout orders with it being NYE. The miso soup was also quite good. I'll still give Sakai as my favorite sushi place in the area, but this place is definitely worth a try if you haven't.
