Cool Tiki Bar with great Detroit style pizza

Finally made it to MaiPai last night. This place is tough to get in to, like book at least a month out tough but it was worth the wait. True Detroit style pizza at fair prices, in a cool tiki bar setting with the drinks to match. I went with a chai something or other to drink which had some smoked pineapple infused rum, chai and other things which was very tasty and my wife got basically a red wine sangria with rum which I actually liked better than mine. For the pizzas I went with their weekly special, the Hot Chicago which had hot Italian sausage and spicy Giardiniera along with cheese and sauce. I also had them add garlic. Very tasty, especially with some of their hot honey sauce drizzled over the top. My wife was going to do the supreme, but then saw one go by which had these large lumps of what looked like fresh mozzarella on top which she thought was the Red Stripe so she went with that but unfortunately that ended up being just being a pizza with red sauce and cheese. Still good, but not what she was hoping for. Ah well, should have asked. We were both still kind of full from the Latino Festival, and then popcorn at the movies (28 Years Later) so she only ate one piece, and I had two so we'll have leftovers for tonight. Even if we hadn't eaten, two pieces with maybe splitting a salad would likely fill up most people. And although my buddy described the area as "stabby", there were some places nearby that I wanted to check out
