Tasty Peruvian food

Not sure why I always seem to forget about El Inka when Taste Of Burlington isn't going on. I'll for sure need to change that this year and get myself back, because every time I've been it's been fantastic. To start, I went with the grilled octopus and my wife ended up choosing the Duo de causa which is potatoes with chicken and shrimp. Both were very good, and one of the rare times I actually liked octopus. Usually it's chewy but this was perfect. Nice smokey flavor too. For our mains I was torn between the short rib, and the AAA tenderloin served over rissoto. Our waiter steered me toward the tenderloin since it's a special for the taste and I can get the short rib anytime. Ok, sounds good to me. Wife was choosing between the salmon and the pesto linguine with fried chicken breast. Waiter steered her towards the chicken. This was really the only miss of the evening. Right when it came out she wished she'd gone with the salmon. The linguini was fine, but the chicken was just a few pieces of flattened out breasts fried. Kind of like a schnitzel. I asked for a couple of their hot sauces which helped and were both very good. I even used some on my dish. Mine was very tasty and the risotto was super filling so we couldn't even end up finishing our dessert. She had the tiramisu and I went with the tres Leches. Both very tasty. We also grabbed a bag of their coffee that they sell to make it home so looking forward to trying that next week. I do remember it being pretty good from last time. Almost forgot the drinks. I had a Pisco Sour, and she had a Pisco mule. Both delicious.
