Second time trying the new(ish) Aroma a Mexico in Hamilton. First time we went for breakfast and really liked it so we tried them for dinner last night and it was great as well. Their menu has a lot of things I have not seen at Mexican restaurants in the area that I have missed. One of them being camarones la diablo (devil shrimp?) which is basically shrimp served in a spicy sauce served with rice, beans and tortillas. One of my favorites. Unfortunately I'm still getting over this food poisoning from Friday so I decided to go with something a bit milder and saw that they have barbacoa on their menu which again I don't think I've seen elsewhere in the area so I went with that. Very good. Their refried beans are very tasty as well as their Mexican rice. I also like the little piece of cactus that they give on the side. Not seeing that before but tearing off a piece for each basically taco crafted from the barbacoa was a nice addition. My wife got their chicken fajitas which she enjoyed and my daughter got the Birria tacos which she also liked. Looking forward to going back and trying those camerones sometime as well as some other things on their menu. Check it out.
